ABOUT THE BAND PACIFIC

Piano-indie rock band Pacific, based in Manchester, UK are making a name for themselves, with their unique blend of alternative rock and indie nuances. The band Pacific consists of brothers & songwriters Anthony Orzel – Vocals/Piano and Daniel Orzel – Synths/Bass/Backing Vocals, Dave Bithell – Guitars and Drew Burns – Drums/Percussion.

Having been spun on BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens and featured in METRO, “New band Pacific are proving indie music is getting a much needed coming back”, the band’s electrifying immediate sound has been gaining them strong momentum.

Off the back of a 2019 that saw the band win the national vote to play Y Not Festival, sell out three shows across Manchester and Northwich and join All Tvvins, The Blinders, Red Rum Club and The Modern Strangers as main support on their tour, Pacific kicked off 2020 with  new single “Idols”.

The single garnered strong backing from BBC Introducing from Manchester with multiple spins and a live session on air, plus further support from XS Manchester following a 2019 live session, Amazing Radio, Jack FM, Tom Robinson’s Fresh on the Net, and a multitude of blogs including: A1234, Indie Is Not A Genre, Wolf in a Suit, Jammerzine, When The Horn Blows & more.

Pacific have also gained support from Manchester football clubs; frequenting Premier League match playlists at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, performing at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, and receiving backing from Salford City FC, using single ‘Blinded’ across their video content.

With ‘Life in Short’ hitting over 190k streams on Spotify, new single releases throughout 2020, headline show at Gorilla, Manchester set for Friday 25th September, plus festival dates at Liverpool Sound City & more TBA – the band Pacific are showing no signs of slowing down in bringing piano back to modern indie music.
